How we make it

Every pack carries a serial number and we hold the parts to fix it. Orders leave Jackson within 2 business days. If a piece is not right, you have 30 days to send it back.

A short range, made repeatedly

We carry 13 pieces across 4 categories, between $26.00 and $168.00. Outdoor ranges get long because a new colourway is cheaper than a new pattern. Ours stays short so that every seam has been walked on, rained on and unpicked a few times before it goes out. Making the same eleven things repeatedly is also what lets us stock the parts to fix them in five years.

Materials

Ripstop nylon and waxed cotton canvas for the packs, a three-layer membrane for the shells, and hardware from two suppliers we have used long enough to know which buckle breaks first. Where a piece can be made in one fabric rather than three, it is — laminated panels look technical and delaminate on schedule.

Repair

Every pack carries a serial number stitched into the back panel, and we hold zip sliders, buckles, webbing and shoulder strap foam for every piece we have ever sold. Send it back and we will quote the repair before doing it. A pack that comes back for a new hipbelt at year six is the entire point of the exercise.
